ASB-16 is a useful zwitterionic detergent for the solubilization of proteins including previously undetected membrane proteins. ASB-16 exhibits better protein solubilization properties than CHAPS. Also useful for solubilizing proteins for 2D-gel electrophoresis.
A 10% sterile-filtered solution in water of the zwitterionic detergent CHAPS (Cat. No.# AUR10271).
CHAPS is a zwitterionic a non-denaturing detergent that protects the native state of proteins, able to disrupt non-specific protein interactions and has less protein aggregation than non-ionic detergents. It is electrically neutral and easily removed by dialysis.
DDMAB is a water-soluble zwitterionic detergent useful for the extraction of mycoplasma membrane antigens under mild conditions.
HEPES is a zwitterionic N-substituted aminosulfonic acid buffer (Absorbance: <0.10 at 260 nm, 1.0 mM, H2O). Active in the pH range of 6.0 to 8.5. Has a pKa of 7.6 at 20°C.
Sulfobetaine 3-10 is a synthetic zwitterionic detergent, which unlike other amphoteric surfactants, retains its zwitterionic character over a broad pH range.
Sulfobetaine 3-14 is a synthetic zwitterionic detergent, which unlike other amphoteric surfactants, retains its zwitterionic character over a broad pH range.
Sulfobetaine 3-16 is a zwitterionic detergent. It has been used for extraction of proteins for analysis by chromatography, mass spectroscopy, and electrophoretic methods.
